Her Story
Raised in Baltimore's Lexington Terrace Housing Projects, Adrian understands the realities of academic struggle and systemic barriers firsthand. Her journey from those beginnings to becoming a nationally recognized educator fuels her belief that, with the right support, every child can excel. She views mathematics as both a divine gift and a life-changing tool, and she is passionate about using it to open doors for her students.
One of the defining moments of her career came in 2014, when the National Technical Association named her Outstanding Teacher of the Year, following a historic victory by her female Muslim high school students in a math competition at Morgan State University, her alma mater. Her gift for mentorship extends to fellow educators as well — including a teacher she nurtured who went on to become Baltimore City's Teacher of the Year.
With more than 20 years in mathematics education, Adrian has taught, coached, and led across elementary, middle, high school, and college settings — serving as a math department head, curriculum developer, and test prep specialist. She has helped students and professionals succeed on high-stakes exams including state assessments, the SAT, teacher certification tests, and nursing boards, and is the author of multiple published books equipping families and educators with practical strategies.
A Mother's Perspective
Adrian has been both a homeschool and traditional-school mom to her three sons, giving her a unique, well-rounded perspective on what students and families need to thrive in different learning environments. Two of her sons have entered their dream colleges after skipping grades and excelling in advanced coursework, while her youngest is thriving in high school. This firsthand experience allows her to guide parents on balancing rigor, wellbeing, and long-term academic competitiveness — especially in math and STEM.

Today, Adrian is a sought-after speaker on topics such as homeschooling with academic competitiveness, getting your child into their dream college, creating an impressive high school transcript, elite school admissions, how math should be taught, and how to intrinsically motivate students in mathematics. She also speaks on the pros and cons of traditional schooling versus homeschooling, helping parents choose the path that best fits their child and their family's values.
